A History Rooted in Plano
The Plano Lions Club received its charter in **1950**, initially formed by a small but passionate group of local business owners and citizens committed to civic betterment. Our foundation was laid with the guiding principle of addressing the needs of the visually impaired, answering the historic call to service issued by Helen Keller. Over the decades, as Plano evolved from a small town into a bustling suburban city, our mission broadened to address evolving local challenges, including hunger relief, youth development, and environmental sustainability.
Significant Service Milestones

Our Commitment to Transparency
We pride ourselves on financial transparency. Every dollar raised through our charity events, whether itβs the annual golf tournament or the holiday gala, is managed meticulously. We can assure our donors and the community that **100% of public donations are channeled directly into our service programs**, ensuring maximum local impact without administrative overhead.
