Plano Lions Youth Scholarship Fund
Dedicated to investing in the future of Plano’s young leaders, this program provides financial assistance to high school seniors pursuing further education. Funds are raised through our annual gala and carefully managed to ensure distribution based on merit, community service, and need. The goal is to remove financial barriers and encourage students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving others. This is a crucial, long-term commitment that has benefited hundreds of families over the past four decades, directly contributing to the intellectual capital of our city.
Community Sight & Hearing Programs
As “Knights of the Blind,” our sight program remains a core focus. We partner with local optometrists and the Plano ISD to offer free vision and hearing screenings, especially for uninsured children and seniors. For those identified with problems, we provide vouchers for free prescription eyeglasses or assistance with hearing aids. This proactive health initiative ensures early detection of serious conditions, improving quality of life and educational performance for countless Plano residents every year. This is arguably our most well-known and enduring initiative.

Plano Environmental Stewardship
Responding to global Lions’ calls for environmental action, we regularly organize local cleanups along the parks and waterways of Plano. This program includes initiatives such as tree planting drives in underserved neighborhoods, promoting recycling awareness, and maintaining green spaces. Our dedicated volunteers lead these hands-on efforts to ensure Plano remains a healthy, beautiful, and sustainable place to live for all future generations.
